  • Account Information: Name, email address, username, password (encrypted), and profile photo.
  • Profile Data: Bio, location, interests, and other optional information you choose to share.
  • Content: Posts, comments, stories, images, and any other content you create or share on Glimtalk.

4. AI and Your Data

Glimtalk uses AI (Google Gemini) to enhance your experience. Here's how it works:

  • What AI Sees: Your posts, profile information, and interaction history (only what you've shared on Glimtalk).
  • What AI Does: Generates conversation starters, assigns energy tags, creates memory journals (Pro), and powers AI Roommates.
  • Data Retention: AI processing is done in real-time. We do not permanently store raw AI prompts or responses beyond what's displayed to you.
  • Third-Party AI: Google Gemini processes data according to their privacy policy. We send only necessary data and use API key rotation for security.
  • Opt-Out: Pro users can disable Memory Mode and Memory Journals in settings.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (database encryption via Supabase).
  • Password hashing using bcrypt with salt.
  • API key rotation to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Rate limiting and DDoS protection.
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability scanning.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) available for all accounts.

However, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@glimtalk.com.
